As I am approaching the third trimester, I’m feeling all different kinds of emotions.
I’m excited to meet baby, I’m a bit nervous about labor and delivery and I’m looking forward to the challenge of adapting to a new routine.
I’m also three weeks away from Maternity Leave at work so I’ve already started planning out my new schedule for the next two months.
I must admit, it was very strange to see an empty google calendar with no work scheduled in! It was actually liberating.
I have the freedom now to create my own schedule with more time to work on myself, my blog and most importantly, the arrival of baby, so I’m VERY excited about that!

Second Trimester: Week 25 Pregnancy Recap
Symptoms
Gas & bloating
Starting to feel like baby is filling up the space inside of me! Felt really bloated and gassy this week, like my food and other organs had no where to go. Also felt really stretched…
Swollen feet
Summer has officially begun and so have the swollen feet symptom! The heat really does contribute to it and I have to be more mindful of staying on my feet for too long.
Back pain
Baby is getting big so my belly is really starting to weigh out.
I’ve been waking up with back pain in the mornings this week but once I get up and get going, it’s alright.
Been using my Boppy wedge pillow to help support the weight of my belly.
Mood & Energy
Other than those few minor symptoms, I felt pretty good this week.
No more major ups or downs in mood, had good energy and went to the gym twice this week and had an amazing workout.
I’m actually very proud of myself for being almost 7 months pregnant and still going to the gym consistently every single week. Really hoping all this will pay off when it comes time to give birth!
Cravings
None! Absolutely none. I’m still a little disappointed with this whole pregnancy craving thing.
I thought I would have much stronger cravings for much more bizarre things like the stories I’ve heard from other pregnant women.
But nada! Nothing for me.
Highlights This Week
We had our baby shower last Saturday and it was a blast! I felt so grateful to have all our friends and family with us to celebrate the welcoming of a new life.
If you’ve been following my blog, you would know that we knew the gender of the baby a few weeks back at our detailed ultrasound.
We wanted to wait until our baby shower to share the news with you all and…
IT’S A GIRL!!
I’m SO happy about this. I’ve been manifesting this for a while now and I started seeing signs that the universe has answered my prayer way before we found out.
I’ll be writing a separate post about this so make sure to look out for that!
