The last few weeks as I’ve been writing these weekly recaps, I keep wondering which week will be my last.

I thought it would be 37, nope. Then I thought it would be 38, guess not either!

Either way, I know it’s just around the corner and deep down I just intuitively know she’s going to come early before her actual due date.

As to how early…who knows!

Third Trimester: Week 38 Pregnancy Recap

Symptoms

Nesting

Intuitively, I think my body knows that she’s coming soon and nesting was on full blast this week.

I had an insane amount of energy to complete everything on my task list.

Braxton Hicks

Felt a lot more contractions this week. Not sure if I’m now paying extra attention to every little detail since I know her big debut could be just around the corner.

Favourites This Week

Peri Bottle for Postpartum Essentials

This is a postpartum must have!

To keep the area down there clean and to prevent infection. Also to dilute the urine as you go to reduce stinging.

New Mom Tip: Get more than one so you can bring one with you on the go, in case you need to go to the bathroom while you’re out!

Earth Mama Organic Natural Nipple Butter

Got myself one of these as I plan to breastfeed baby.

It’s so creamy and rich, definitely feels WAY better than the ones that contain Lanolin.

Non-GMO
Organic Nipple Butter
  • Soothing, cruelty-free, buttery and botanical-rich
  • Lanolin-free and non-sticky

Mood & Energy

Super duper high energy this week and nesting on full blast. I was able to go to the gym three times this week.

Went a little overboard but I felt SO good and I fully listened to my body and it was telling me to workout!!

Also did a ton of organizing this week and food prepping. At the end of the week, I took time for some self care and went out for some foot reflexology.

I held off all these months on getting a foot massage as I know some pressure points could trigger uterine contractions.

Now that baby is full term, the acupressure could actually help induce labor which is exactly what I want!

Cravings

Finally had some kind of craving this week.

All this time during my pregnancy, I barely had any strong cravings for anything.

Most of my cravings were mild, I would crave for something but if I didn’t have it, it didn’t bother me either.

Anyway, this week I was craving for some sushi and steak, knowing that I can finally have it after she’s born!
