Every week that goes by is getting closer to meeting baby and I’m so excited and nervous at the same time!
In a way, it still hasn’t fully hit me yet I think. I know that I’m pregnant but it still seems out of this world to me right now.
Many people have said they felt the same and that it hit them once the baby was in their arms!
Going into labor is another thing I’ve been focusing more on, especially how to have an easier labor and postpartum recovery.
I’m anticipating that I’m going to be super tired and sleep deprived once baby is here so I need to make sure I have as much postpartum recovery essentials prepared and ready to go before the day comes.
The fourth trimester is equally as important.

Third Trimester: Week 29 Pregnancy Recap
Symptoms
Leg cramps
Right when I wake up, I habitually do a full body stretch while still half asleep and that’s when the massive leg cramp that’s mainly in my calf kicks in.
Holyyyy is it painful. BUT I’ve learned to breathe through it now and not tense up which makes it worse. Good practice for labor!
Rib pain
Baby is getting big and she’s running out of space in my womb. I can CLEARLY feel that as some days she is pushing hard on my ribs.
It feels like my ribs are getting pushed out of my body from the inside which is probably what’s really happening.
Swollen ankles
I’ve graduated from swollen feet the passed few weeks to now swollen ankles this week.
My right foot is way worse than my left which can be a good thing actually as left leg swelling might indicate deep vein thrombosis.
Mood & Energy
Energy levels were very high this week, worked out 3 times and nesting mode was on full blast!
Woke up extra early all week to organize the nursery like every single morning.
I am very meticulous about things and had to move the furniture around a few times and stare at it for a while each time before deciding on the final set up.
Now that the big stuff is in place, I can start organizing all the items we got from our baby shower.
Cravings
I didn’t really crave anything this week but I usually have a collagen smoothie in the morning and lately I’ve been looking up lactation smoothie recipes for baby’s arrival.
This peanut butter smoothie is to die for! My current taste buds are really loving this one.
Highlights This Week
Now that baby has gotten big enough and her ears are formed, she can hear what’s going on in the outside world. She can even respond to touch!
This week I decided to rent the new Transformers movie at home and turned up the surround sound system to get a full movie theatre experience.
The loud rumbling of the speakers and all that action got her hyped up also.
She was moving like bananas for the entire 2 hours of the movie, someone was excited!
