Third Trimester: Week 30 Pregnancy Recap

This week totally felt like third trimester on full blast! I felt a lot more symptoms than I have during the second trimester and my cravings are coming back…

I can definitely feel the difference between the second and third trimester of my pregnancy now and let me tell you that it is much harder! Harder than I thought it would be.

My body is re-adjusting to this next stage and re-adapting to these new symptoms once again.

And the count down beings…10 more weeks to go!

Third Trimester: Week 30 Pregnancy Recap

Symptoms

Fatigue

Like extreme fatigue this week. Very similar to how I felt during the first trimester where I was passing out literally everywhere.

I’ve been needing a minimum of 8 hours of sleep (compared to what I’m used to pre-pregnancy at 6 hours). One of the days this week, I even slept 12 full hours before feeling well-rested.

Vivid dreams

I’ve always been a dreamer even before pregnancy. I’d dream almost every single night. During the first trimester, I dreamt ALOT. Really bizarre unexplainable dreams too.

In the second trimester, I didn’t dream as much. I was expending so much energy during the day with going to the gym and working full time and chores that I’d pass out into deep sleep right away each night.

This third trimester though, my strange dreams are starting to reappear again. I pretty much only remember them for a little bit after I wake up though.

Increased hunger

Felt like I could eat for two or even three some days. I’d eat a full meal and still feel hungry afterwards. My appetite is just so abundant right now! Really need to be more mindful of not overeating…

Mood & Energy

Aside from being pretty tired and exhausted this week, I’d say I had a pretty good week still.

Even though I was tired, I still managed to go to the gym 3 times this week. However, I noticed I am much more tired after my regular exercises that I’ve been doing during the second trimester.

It’s time to modify my workouts again. I’ll be reducing the time I spend walking on an incline on the treadmill and also doing one less set than I’m used to.

I’ll see how I feel this coming week and readjust if needed!

Highlights This Week

Thought I’d add this fun one in this week… Can’t see my feet when I look down anymore! Hit one of the most exciting pregnancy milestones 😃

Cravings

Blueberry muffins warmed in the toaster so the top is a bit crispy! Oh my… my sweet cravings came back hard this week. I also got carnival style mini donuts and mochi donuts as well. Went a little overboard this week 😛

Favorites This Week

Birthing Exercise Ball – in anticipation that I will not be able to go to the gym much longer since I’m getting bigger (prefer not to drive) and also getting closer to my due date, I’ll be switching to walks around the park and yoga exercises at home instead.

I’ll be incorporating more birth prep exercises and I’ve seen that using a birthing ball can be beneficial. So far, I’ve been doing some hip rotations and following along YouTube videos on exercises for easier and faster labor.

Thanks for stopping by 💕
