It is getting real my friends. This week was the hardest week out of my entire pregnancy journey.
I developed a common symptom that left me immobile for a few days and needing immediate care. More on that below…
It seems as though I did a total 180 this week and even completely fell out of my gym routine which affected my overall mood.
Anyway, I’m doing my best to stay positive and finish strong as this pregnancy journey is coming to an end and a new journey awaits.
7 more weeks to go…!

Third Trimester: Week 33 Pregnancy Recap
Symptoms
Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction
Or also known as Pelvic Girdle Pain. It’s pain from your pubic symphysis joint and can make things like rolling over in bed, getting out of a car or even walking, difficult to do.
During pregnancy and especially in the third trimester, the hormone relaxin loosens your ligaments and muscles as you get ready to give birth. The added weight of the baby also puts a lot of pressure around the pelvic area.
I had gone to the gym in the beginning of the week and felt stronger than ever and 2 days later, I found myself not able to get out of bed. I struggled to roll over and to sit on the edge of the bed, then I felt sharp pains in my pubic bone and had trouble standing up.
For the next two days, I was having difficulty doing everyday tasks. I wasn’t able to fully rest as my pelvis would hurt even when I’m sleeping.
I finally found a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist available to see me this week, and she became my lifesaver.
She helped relieve the pain and also guided me on how to connect with my pelvic floor, along with birth prep exercises (things like how to breathe, labour positions, and how to prevent tearing).
I am SO grateful to have found her. I recommend all mamas to go see a pelvic floor physiotherapist during pregnancy.

Cut Your Labor in Half: 19 Secrets to a Faster and Easier Birth
This book is freaking amazing!
Aside from preparing emotionally and physically for labour, this book really helps you prepare mentally.
It’s jam-packed with so many labour secrets that empower you to be “in front of labour”.
This book will help you feel so ready for giving birth with the knowledge in your toolkit. I really wish I had found this book at the beginning of my pregnancy.
Plus, it’s a short and sweet read. Highly recommend this book to all mamas!
Tropical Leaf Jungle Wall Decals
I am so in love with how this turned out for the safari theme in the nursery room.
Super easy to stick on, and the printed quality of the pictures is also very nice.
Thinking about getting more leaves to fill out the rest of the white spaces.
Mood & Energy
Was in quite a low mood this week due to the pelvic pain. Along with not being able to go to the gym or do simple exercises, I definitely saw a decline in my mental health.
Exercising is one of those things I NEED for my mental health. Without the gym, I felt disconnected with my mind and body.
I managed to go to the gym at the end of the week after I saw my physiotherapist, but I was not feeling 100%, of course.
Looks like the next few weeks will be about the same, as the baby is only getting heavier, and my pelvis will be carrying more added weight.
As for right now, I’m focusing on doing what I can and connecting with my pelvic floor and deep core muscles, and preventing the pain from getting any worse. Lots of rest for me and learning to listen to my body!
Cravings
Absolutely none. I was too bothered by the pain to even feel excited about food lol.
