It’s official…One more trimester to go. Bring it on baby!
Now that I’m officially in my last trimester of this pregnancy journey and also on maternity leave, I have the last 2-3 months to really focus on myself and baby.
There’s still a bunch of essential baby items on our list we need to get and the nursery still has a lot of work until it’s done but all of this is exciting and I can feel the adrenaline kicking in!
To be honest, one other exciting thing about this last trimester is that I can finally spend more time blogging.
Without having to work full-time, I can tackle the many things I’ve wanted to do to improve this blog and I can finally sit down and write and write and write.
So look out for more posts as I’ll be on here more often sharing the goodies!

Third Trimester: Week 28 Pregnancy Recap
Symptoms
Fatigue
I’m not sure if it’s the heat here in Vancouver B.C. (today we’re at 29 degrees Celsius), but I’ve been feeling quite sleepy this week.
Or it could be the fact that I’ve entered the last trimester and things are kicking up a notch.
Swollen feet
Again, most likely from the heat. My right foot swells up more and faster than my left for some reason.
Being more mindful of drinking more water and watching my sodium intake.
Back pain
Finding it harder to roll around in bed, I feel like a turtle really.
The back pain mostly happens when I wake up in the morning having not moved all night.
I’ve been using my full body pregnancy pillow and my Boppy wedge pillow together for full support.
Favorites This Week
Palmer’s Stretch Mark Lotion
I’ve replaced my Burt’s Bees belly butter with this lotion instead.
I’m currently using the Palmer’s stretch mark balm which I absolutely love.
I’m now using the palmer’s lotion for the day time and the balm in the evening.
I love the smell and feel of both of them.
So far, 7 and a half months pregnant and no stretch marks, highly recommend it!
Highlights This Week
Not sure if this would be considered a highlight but it’s worth mentioning incase anyone else is experiencing the same situation.
I found out I have a small uterine fibroid from my detailed ultrasound 2 months ago but I was only notified recently.
I was quite surprised because personally I think I’ve been taking good care of myself; maintaining a healthy weight gain and also exercising consistently.
The entire second trimester, I didn’t feel any symptoms of having a uterine fibroid. If anything, I felt on top of the world most days and sometimes would even forget I was pregnant.
I was advised it’s nothing to worry about since there is only one and it is so small in size. However, I am scheduled for another ultrasound to check the size and growth (if any) of this fibroid.
Anyway, I’m going to be even more mindful of what I eat and drink and keep my stress levels down which I think were mainly from working my full-time job.
Cravings
Not really a craving but more of an aversion. The usual Nivea lip balm that I’ve been using for years suddenly tasted so disgusting to me!
Time for a new brand and flavor. Any suggestions?
