Second Trimester: Week 22 Pregnancy Recap
It’s been two full weeks now and our move is STILL NOT FINISHED!
The elevators miraculously fixed this week so we’ve been moving all my parent’s stuff out of our place and into theirs.
If you want to read about what happened during my horrendous and humorous move, and why I’m STILL MOVING, you can read all about it here.
Today, we will be moving the last of my parent’s stuff out which means I can finally unpack and start settling in. I cannot wait to start putting the baby nursery together!

Second Trimester: Week 22 Pregnancy Recap
Symptoms
Not too much to report this week. The symptoms below were very mild and did not bother me too much which was nice!
Rib pain
Felt the pressure in my ribs a few times this week. I could definitely feel the effects of my uterus expanding and that putting pressure on my rib cage.
Think baby is still too small to be feeling rib kicks just yet.
Sore hips
Mostly happens during sleep. I mainly sleep on my left side but I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night feeling soreness in my hips.
Metallic taste in mouth
Noticed this symptom twice this week. A strange metallic taste appeared in my mouth, it was quite unpleasant but thankfully did not last too long.
Pause here and save this pin for later!
Mood & Energy
Aside from being tired because we’ve been moving literally every single day for the past two weeks.
I still managed to go to the gym three times this week. It was SO needed.
I really had to get out of the mess and clutter of the house and break a good sweat. I also felt more energized afterwards to come home and continue the move!
Cravings
Matcha Green Tea ice cream from Häagen-Dazs this week was my one and only craving! I’m usually not a sweets person and I almost never want to eat ice cream.
Maybe a few times a year but this week, I ate a whole mini tub to myself (and baby of course!).
New This Week
Kinesio Tape – I’ve been reading a lot about this and have decided to give it a go.
Kinesio tape should provide more support and stability to your muscles, increase blood flow and reduce pain and inflammation.
Excited to see how this will change things for me!
